Dr. Barbara Sumbatian is a Child and Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist, who sees patients aged 5 and onwards. She provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment (including psychotherapy ) to children, adolescent and adults She completed her Residency in Adult Psychiatry and Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at PennState Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is Board Certified in both, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry.

Dr. Sumbatian has over 35 years of experience providing services for children, adolescents and adults across multiple clinical settings, such as, inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, and outpatient programs. She also provided consultation-liaison services and school consultations (Carlisle School district) In addition to her clinical experience she served as Chief of the Psychiatry Department at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital from 2013 to 2020. She has taught medical students, physician assistants, advanced nurse practitioners and provided supervision to clinical therapists in the department.
